The River Lea in Spate: Taken Monday evening 11th June 2012
"Prince Charles and Camilla were due to board a barge on the River Lea to the Olympic Park tomorrow [Wed 13th June] but is understood they will now be travelling by Royal car from Three Mills in Bow instead.
A spokeswoman for Clarence House said the plans were changed after they took advice from British Waterways following a red flood alert. A British Waterways spokeswoman said the flood alert was issued because of the recent heavy rain."

The view is from the Ruckholt Road Bridge looking towards the Velodrome. The river was at its peak level for that day.
