Revenge is a dish best served cold and companion of dishonour Coe is enjoying his repast. His arrival at the BOA has ‘coincided’ with the departures of Chairman <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/aug/13/lord-moynihan-step-down-british-olympic-association " target=_blank">Colin Moynihan, who left a year early, the former commercial director, <a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/article-2262151/BOA-chief-commercial-officer-Hugh-Chambers-loses-job-failing-sponsorship-partner-Games.html " target=_blank">Hugh Chambers, and the director of sport, <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19831358 " target=_blank">Sir Clive Woodward, who noted the organisation was taking a ‘new direction’.

Runners are sent ahead to drum up excitement; the circus rolls into town, and the people pay. Show over and profits taken, the circus pulls out, leaving behind mere memories and mess.

The five ring circus works on similar lines over a longer eight-year timescale. Why did London agree to host this circus? The time to reject a London Olympics was during the bid stage

Desecrating the games integrity will be advertisements from companies that profit directly from and cause peoples’ death, not least BP, Dow and Rio Tinto. Nevertheless, David Cameron has come out in support of DOW’s sponsorship.[i] More broadly, it has been argued that elites within the system are attempting to suppress peoples’ rights to express their discontent against injustices in Britain and abroad.

The <a href="http://www.gamesmonitor.org.uk/blog/1198" target=_blank">Pudding Mill White Elephant just won't lie down. CoeLtd is still hoping to bring the 2017 IAAF World Athletics Championships to London. But it all depends on there being an available stadium. After all it's hard to hold an Athletics Championships without one. LoCoe has his own <a href="http://www.ttoc.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1774:election-re-run-sees-bubka-and-coe-keep-places-as-iaaf-vice-presidents-&catid=2:latest-news&Itemid=233" target=_blank">IAAF ambitions with the next milestone in 2015 when he hopes to succeed to the top job. The loss of a stadium could prove terminal to those ambitions.
