Rabbits slaughtered for 'living, breathing' Olympic Park
In a still from 'Going for Green', Olympic Park designer John Hopkins demonstrates the plans that spelled the end for the rabbits and their nature reserve. Olympic Delivery Authority contractors Thurlow Countryside Management (TCM) undertook a secret mass gassing of rabbits during the clearance of nature reserves, allotments and parkland within the London 2012 construction site in 2008. The ODA had sought to systematically misrepresent the existing open space as 'industrial wasteland' and a '100-year-old rubbish tip' while claiming to be protecting the wildlife on site. This is the first evidence that wildlife incompatible with the construction plans was deliberately destroyed.

Demolishing homes and communities - Sustainability ODA style
In the autumn of 2007 the ODA knocked down my home along with 106 other houses on the Clays Lane estate. In November 2009 it won 'The Legacy Award - Sustainability' from an organisation called Constructing Excellence. One of the 'Key Achievements' claimed by the ODA, when it presented its case for this award, was its demolition of our homes along with another 108 buildings on the Olympic Park.

Off yer bike
AFTER more than 30 years as home to London's cycle-racing scene, the Eastway Cycle Circuit in London's Lee Valley was closed in November to make way for the 2012 Olympics.
When the Olympic and Legacy planning permissions were granted in 2004, one of the conditions for the main Olympic Park site in Lee Valley was that the Olympic strategy should "ensure the continuity of suitable circuit facilities throughout the Olympic Construction"
